About The Puzzle
"I wanted the illustration for this puzzle to be a fun and whimsical celebration of the life and diversity of Narragansett Bay. My hope is that the viewer will enjoy discovering the bits of detail and interactions as they piece the artwork together. My respect and connection to our Bay reaches beyond the fact that this is my home state — my father, uncles, and grandfather were commercial fishermen and worked for decades catching fish and lobsters on Rhode Island waters." -- Matt Castigliego
Our design was inspired by Matt Castigliego's playful illustration. Like the illustration, the whimsey pieces in the puzzle design descend from surfer girl riding a wave at the anchor’s top down to a submarine and bottom-dwelling sea creatures at the anchor’s bottom. Eagle-eyed Rhode Islanders will spot a Del's lemonade cup on the anchor’s fluke. Also included are a compound whimsy piece of a hungry tuna as well as a startled puffer fish and some swimming trunks missing their swimmer.
