The Puzzle Design for Houses was an opportunity to create a single composition of whimsey pieces illustrating the cross section of a suburban home. A boy jumps on his bed, a girl waves from an open window while their mother prunes a shrub, and their father rides his bike. The compound whimsey piece of the sun is one of our most complicated compound whimseys yet. Observant dissectologists will note a family portrait hanging in the downstairs living room and a Pan Am sticker on the old Army trunk in the attic.
